LG Chem’s Residential Energy Storage Unit (RESU) is a compact, lightweight 6.4kW battery storage unit designed to tie in with a grid connect solar system to increase self-consumption of solar generation. An additional inverter is required, but the LG is compatible with a wide variety of inverter brands such as SolarX, Sungrow and SMA. The battery unit can also be used in off-grid installations.
