Concerned about rising power costs, the Smithfield Hotel, located on the outskirts of Adelaide, wanted a solution to lessen their peak electricity use and therefore protect it from future electricity price rises. After speaking with the specialist team at Class A Energy Solutions the environmental and economic benefits of solar were obvious.
In consultation with the owners of the Smithfield Hotel, analysts at Class A Energy Solutions designed a 30kW solar system to best suit their needs. This 120-panel system will save, on average, 45,990kWh per year, which equates to 33 tonnes of green house gas emissions or the planting of 3,300 trees annually.
At full capacity the Smithfield Hotel’s system will produce over 120kWh of electricity per day therefore helping to offset their daily power consumption.
